Exhibition

Marie Jeschke & Sam Evans

The exhibition "Make Me Water" is the first institutional solo show of artist Marie Jeschke and showcases a collaborative project with Sam Evans at Junge Kunst in Wolfsburg. In a unique synthesis of their artistic perspectives, the exhibition places water at its core. Both artists develop their works from within the water itself, incorporating not only its physical presence but also its immaterial, invisible potential into their creative process.

The opening will take place in the presence of the artists.

Artist Talk/ Exhibition

Marie Jeschke & Dr. Jenny Linek

Artist talk with artist Marie Jeschke and historian Dr. Jenny Linek as part of the program ‘Interventionen – 35 Jahre Mauerfall’ at Villa Schöningen in Potsdam.

In a reflective dialogue, Marie Jeschke and Dr. Jenny Linek will share their distinct perspectives on East German escape movements and the significance of liquid borders.

Through her artistic installation, Jeschke explores the historical and emotional dimensions of the Glienicke Bridge and the DDR’s water escape routes. Dr. Linek highlights the often-forgotten stories of those who lost their lives attempting to flee across the Baltic Sea. Together, they merge art and historical research to keep the memories of division and daring escapes alive.
