Marie Jeschke is a performative painter based in Berlin.
At the core of Marie Jeschke’s practice lies a profound interrogation of mono authorship. Rejecting the notion of solitary creation, Jeschke fosters inclusive pathways to co-creation, inviting collaboration and embracing diverse perspectives. Each of her and her collectives's artworks becomes a shared narrative.
Amidst Marie Jeschke's artistic journey, material research stands as a pivotal cornerstone. Delving into uncharted territories, Jeschke passionately explores the realm of performative paintings, pushing the limits of conventional artistic techniques. Beyond the canvas, Jeschke initiates performative and participatory projects, inviting a human audience and Jeschke's natural environment to engage intimately with the artistic process.

Marie Jeschke is the initiator and partner of the following projects:
With this shared fascination for glass, Jeschkelanger, founded by Anja Langer and Marie Jeschke in 2016, create functional artworks in which forgotten materials are brought into focus. In 2018, they came across tons of glass production leftovers in the glass industry and were immediately enchanted by the idea of giving these glass remnants a new life. Using these glass pieces and their own cast stone formulations, Jeschkelanger has developed their own material composite: BASIS RHO.
