Marie Jeschke, born in 1982 in Rostock, is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist. Her work centers on challenging the concept of mono-authorship, rejecting the idea of solitary creation in favor of integrative co-creation. By inviting collaboration and incorporating diverse perspectives, Jeschke's artworks and those of her collectives transform into shared narratives.

A key focus of her artistic research is the exploration of memory—both its capacity and the independent recall of organic, bodily, and anonymous materials. Jeschke pushes the boundaries of conventional artistic techniques, delving into performative painting and traversing new creative frontiers. Beyond traditional canvases, she develops performative and participatory projects, fostering intimate engagements between art, human audiences, and their natural surroundings. Currently, she works with, under, and alongside local bodies of water in Berlin and its surrounding areas, as well as in the Baltic Sea.

Marie Jeschke is the initiator and partner of the following projects:

With this shared fascination for glass, Jeschkelanger, founded by Anja Langer and Marie Jeschke in 2016, create functional artworks in which forgotten materials are brought into focus. In 2018, they came across tons of glass production leftovers in the glass industry and were immediately enchanted by the idea of giving these glass remnants a new life. Using these glass pieces and their own cast stone formulations, Jeschkelanger has developed their own material composite: BASIS RHO.
